OUR RESULTS THIS YEAR We're thrilled with the level of progress our pupils have made this year and we're sure you will be impressed too!
Year 4 Our year 4 children were tested in March and again in July using a reading comprehension test set by NFER, which gives their reading age in years and months. Their average reading age had gone up by 10 months in just 4 months, showing well above average progress.
Year 5 - 11+ Our year 5 children who have been studying for the Grammar School Entrance exams were tested in September and again in April in using Maths, Verbal Reasoning/English and Non-Verbal Reasoning assessments. All their scores had significantly improved as detailed below.
Maths - average improvement in two terms = 25%
Verbal Reasoning/English- average improvement in two terms = 30%
Non Verbal Reasoning - average improvement in two terms = 20%
This is testament to the expertise and experience of our teachers at Youth Matters Tuition, who are able to identify and address any areas of weakness that individual children may have. Onwards and upwards for next year!
